National Transparency and Rendering of Accounts Program

The National Rendering of Accounts, Transparency and Combating Corruption Program 2008-2012, is a special and mandatory program for the Federal Public Administration, geared towards generating a social culture of rendering of accounts, combating corruption and compliance with the law; based on the transformation of federal procedures and the redefinition of the relationship between the State and society.
To those ends, the Ministry for the Oversight of Public Administration, through the Inter-secretarial Commission for Transparency and Combating Corruption in the Federal Public Administration (CITCC), coordinates and evaluates actions with other entities of the Federal Public Administration and the Attorney General’s office in order the achieve the goals established in the 2007-2012 National Development Plan.
The strategic goals established in the Program and that contribute to aligning with the 2007-2012 National Development Plan are:
  • Consolidate a Statewide policy on information, transparency and rendering of accounts.
  • Strengthen the supervision of public resources and improve on the internal control of the Public Federal Administration to contribute to the efficiency and functionality of institutions.
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of compliance with the law, ethics and public responsibility.
  • Institutionalize mechanisms to create a connection and generate local support for combating corruption and improving transparency and legitimacy.
  • Establish mechanism to coordinate anticorruption activities in the Federal Public Administration.
  • Combat corruption in federal government institutions that participate in the prevention, investigation and persecution of crimes, as well as in the execution of penal sanctions.
