Containerized Cargo, handled 413 000 tons and 43,066 TEU´s, which are mobilized at both of Multipurpose Terminals specialized in operating container and general cargo, such as ATP and IPM. This cargo increased over the last year as a result of the gain in export volumes in products such as: polyvinyl chloride (PVC), terephthalic acid (TPA), titanium dioxide and enginery, among others.
Talking about Break Bulk Cargo, more than 108 000 tons were registered. It is important to tell that steel and its products came from so many countries: South Corea, China, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Holland, France and Belgium. And they were handled 3,544 export automobiles that have Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Panama as final destination.
For Mineral Bulk, the Port of Altamira handled in this month more than 297000 tons, due to the big volumes in mineral coal, coque, manganese and ilmenite, some of these raw materials are used in the cement and steel industry.
In Agricultural Bulk Cargo, 45 000 tons were moved, having corn as the main product.
499 000 tons in Fluids were handled, mainly the positive results that we get here is because of the reception of LNG vessels, which are the providers of electricity in the northeast of the country. Also paraxylene and VCM went upward.
