IPA Steel Terminal, installed in the Port of Altamira and specialized in general cargo, received in recent days, 4 oversized pieces from Houston, Texas, which had as its final destination the DuPont plant in Altamira, Tamaulipas.
This equipment will be used in the expansion project of its second Production Line Plant, the pieces were moved and thus continue the ambitious expansion project, it will generate multiple economic benefits and job creation in the metropolitan area of southern Tamaulipas. The approximate weight of the 4 pieces exceeds 200 tons.
In last years the Port of Altamira has distinguished in the oversized loads jobs due to investments in port infrastructure, which has made the API, as well as investments made by the maritime terminals in equipment capable of lifting loads of large dimensions.
Mr. Jose Carlos Rodriguez, said that will continue working to attract such many projects of this kind that strengthen the Port of Altamira as one of the most efficient and safety oversized cargo operations.
