The Secretary of Transportation and Communications, the General Coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine and, and other important personalities of the maritime sector made the past august 30th, the official Presentation of the Quality Brand Program, in the Port of Veracruz.
The 5 most important Mexican ports (Altamira, Ensenada, Lazaro Cárdenas, Manzanillo and Veracruz) have been working in this project for more than 2 years, that consists in establishing quality standards and commitments in which all the authorities and companies involved in receiving vessels and cargos agree common procedures.
In some cases, as in the Port of Altamira, the Quality Brand offers economical compensations in case of failure to comply the liabilities established in their procedures.
The Quality Brand represents an important tool to improve services and make transit trough Port facilities faster and more efficient.
