In order to continue the work of supervision in Marine Terminals, Mr. José Carlos Rodríguez; Manager of the Port of Altamira, made a tour in the J. Ray McDermott Mexico Company; which is specialized in services related to the assembly, manufacture, fitting and repair of all types of offshore platform for the sector of the petroleum and petrochemical industry.
McDermott is a U.S. capital company which started operations in January 2008 and the yard in Altamira, is favored by its precise strategic location for repairing, renovation and conversion of rigs. Therefore, is estimated to 2014, an attractive investment focused on the acquisition of equipment for the assembly building, building workshops for carbon steel pipe and cutting plates and beams.
Mr. Rodriguez Montemayor, said that with the recent approval of the Energy Reform is expected to continue arriving important projects of oil and petrochemical sector to the Port of Altamira, so they allow economic and positive benefits for the environment, confirming the potential of places to settle important projects.
