Due to safeguard and monitor the Mexican coasts, the boat 92 “Palenque PC-333”, was floated in recent days at Marina Shipyard number 1 in Tampico city.
There was held a ceremony by the Navy, and it was attended by the Constitutional Governor of Tamaulipas; Mr. Egidio Torre Cantú, the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Claudia Ruiz Massieu, who was in charge of opening up the vessel, besides the Secretary of the Navy, Admiral Vidal Francisco Soberon Sanz and the Manager of the Port of Altamira, Engineers Jose Carlos Rodríguez Montemayor, among other important personalities.
The launching of the vessel “Palenque PC-333” represents such an important civic event to the Navy of Mexico, thereby it will allow to defend external security and contribute to protect human life at sea. It was also reported that the construction of the ship was made to realize the mission of developing patrol and coastal operations offshore raid.
At the end of the ceremony the Manager of API, said that having those new maritime patrol units, will increase the capacity to eliminate
illegal activities within the Port of Altamira, as well as in different coastal areas of the interior of the country, achieving thereby strengthening national security.
